Loss Prevention survey

With Loss Prevention surveys our consultants conduct risk surveys to identify the exposure to property damage or loss. Our survey reports contain loss prevention plans aimed at assessing the overall condition and operation of an insured vessel and to allow us to identify valuable recommendations for mitigating risks, in order to enhance the Owner’s own loss prevention measures.

Risks analysis investigation

Risks analysis investigation has been carried out into using subjective expert opinion in order to identifying and analysing potential issues and consequences of various hazards that could negatively impact initiatives or projects and help organizations avoid or mitigate those risks.

Warehouse and Terminal Inspections

It also included Warehouse and Terminal Inspections which can streamline pre-shipment inspection by preregistering items and quantities, product image and weight information, identified through several verifications.

Cleanliness Condition Inspection

Before/during loading cargo , hold cleanliness condition is verified by our surveyor in order to examine potential defects such as insect infestations, oil sludge, rust and scale etc. Vessel’s cargo compartments must be clean and dry. Only in this way cleanliness certificate can be issued.

Cargo space suitability

Cargo space suitability inspections are generally conducted on behalf of insurers to determine “cargo-worthiness” of vessels for high value or project cargo critical / key item shipments, or for chartered vessels, or for vessels under consideration for charter, that fall outside of insurance policy conditions and the survey consists of a physical inspection to determine the relative safety and fitness of a vessel for carriage of a subject cargo on a particular voyage.

Hatch cover inspection

Hatch cover inspection is usually required us before loading cargo in order to verify that cargo hatch covers are in watertight condition seaworthiness. For this purpose Ultrasonic Tests are carried out by ultrasonic class approved equipment operated by our qualified personnel. These tests are also used for doors, ventilators, hatches access and several others.
