Claim survey – Hull & Machinery surveys

We are specialized in the Claim Surveys services carried out to determine the extend of estimated damage or total loss in the current state in comparison to the insured’s claim basing on validity of insurance policy and other clauses. And therefore in particular Hull & Machinery Surveys usually known simply as H&M Surveys in order to identify the damage or the loss of the incident specifically on the Hull and machineries,  to figure out causes and supervise the repair operations and their costs, this includes machinery breakdown, fire, water ingress, stranding ,collision and whatever else could damage them.

Yacht Condition Survey

Also here in this specific division, Yacht Condition Survey for “H&M Insurance companies” and P&I Condition surveys are carried out by our surveyors on behalf of P&I Clubs or others H&M Insurance companies, in order to inspect boat condition and find yacht’s defect and the state of safety equipment, machineries and structures for warning to Clubs and Insurance companies.

As well as Damage Surveys on behalf of P&I Club in order to investigate cause, extend of damages and losses , and to assist in mitigating further losses.

Pre-purchase Condition Survey

Lastly, Studio Tecnico De Bonis carry out several pre-purchase surveys requested by potential buyers in order to focus defects which are likely to considerably reduce the value of the Yacht. These surveys include a short sea trial, inspection of the underwater areas after haul out, topsides, deck and interior structures, spars, machinery and safety equipment, vessel’s structural and watertight integrity, system’s installations, operating condition and performances, and in this way marks values are assigned to the vessel.
